Sarah Payne

Biography

Sarah received her B.A. in Geography/Environmental Studies from UCLA where her research focused on dryland state change. After graduation, she worked at NASA DEVELOP's JPL location remotely sensing estuary breach events along the California coast. She then became a NASA DEVELOP project manager at the University of Georgia location. There she proposed projects, hired and guided teams, and provided actionable remotely sensed end products to a variety of government and non-profit organizations. She joined the UCSB Geography Department in 2023.
